{Pantone 2015 Color of the Year ~ Marsala}

This weeks Pantone Color of the week is...

Marsala

Our final Spring 2015 Pantone Color is not only our Color of the week, but it is the official 2015 Color of the Year! Here is what the Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, has to say about our color of the year! "Interesting on its own and a wonderful contrast for other hues, Marsala serves as the foundation to the Spring/Summer 2015 palette. Sensual and bold, delicious Marsala is a daringly inviting tone that nurtures; exuding confidence and stability while feeding the body, mind and soul. Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this robust shade incorporates the warmth and richness of a tastefully fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots point to a sophisticated, natural earthiness."

Now because this is our Pantone Color of the year, we have included 6 different color paletts that coordinate with Spring as well as Fall!

Marsala, Aquamarine, Coral

How stunning is this bouquet?! The absolute perfect color palette for a Spring 2015 wedding! By using Marsala accents with Coral roses and Aquamarine succulents, it will make your bouquet pop against your stunning white wedding dress. By adding in some sprigs of seeded eucalyptus, it helps to tie in the succulents and any other accents of aquamarine that you may want to incorporate into your wedding!

Marsala, Navy Blue, Brown

Our next color pairing is one of my absolute favorites! By using a shade of Marsala that has a little more pink to it, can help to bringing out a little bit of a different color tone for a Fall wedding. By complimenting it with Navy Blue accents, it helps to bring out the vividness of the two colors. Then by adding a neutral like brown to the palette it really pulls it all together! Look how simple, yet gorgeous this tablescape is!!

Marsala, Plum Purple, Sage Green

This next color palette is another great one for a Fall 2015 wedding. Look at how gorgeous this centerpiece is! By combining Marsala, Plum Purple and Sage Green it makes your colors blend really well together and by adding a hint of blush, like the mini garden roses, it can help to bring the look together. By adding small touches, like these precious name cards, to your wedding day it will make it uniquely yours and one to remember for years to come.

Marsala, Blush, Glacier Grey

This next color palette is elegant in every aspect and a great base for a Fall or Spring 2015 wedding. By pairing a light and dainty color like blush with the deep rich tones of Marsala it helps to balance the pairing. By adding in a little bit of Glacier Grey, a great neutral, it helps to tie the whole look together. By adding small touches like a rose on each seat, seen in the picture above, will help your guests to feel special and remember your day even after the party ends.

Marsala, Cannary Yellow, Fuchsia

What a great way to use Marsala in a Spring wedding! The handsome groom above has the perfect outfit for his Spring 2015 wedding. By pairing Cannary Yellow and Fuchsia with the deep rich Marsala, helps these spring colors pop! By putting your groomsmen in an unconventional color tux, like the one above, it will make for great pictures that you are sure to look back on and smile!

Marsala, Muted Mint, Oak Bluff

Our last and final color pairing for the Color of the Year is one that is to die for! A stunning color palette consisting of Marsala, Muted Mint and Oak Bluff (which just so happens to be one of the top 10 Pantone colors for Fall 2015) will have your guests in awe of your decor. By using creative and unconventional pieces like various sized painted pumpkins and squash it can pull in the theme of your Fall wedding.

We hope our color pairings have inspired you to use Marsala in your upcoming Spring or Fall 2015 Wedding! Be sure to keep a look out for our new Fall Pantone Color of the week series coming soon!
