{Ashley & Jason Wilson} Married 12.13.14

Ashley & Jason Wilson were married on December 13, 2014 out at The Walters Barn in Lula, GA and we had the honor of getting to be apart of their special day! Here is a little glimpse into how it all began for Jason & Ashley and their special wedding day!

Growing up Jason and Ashley lived less then 5 miles apart, but they didn't meet until the perfect time. "I met Jason and his four beautiful children at our church that is less than a mile from my house. I had passed by this little church my whole life not knowing that is where I would meet my soul mate. God blessed me with the love of such an incredible man as well as the love of his precious children. They have my heart."

One morning after church Jason finally talked to Ashley. She wasn't feeling very good that morning, so she didn't make it back to church that night, but Jason was determined to see her. "It was a summer evening I was swinging on the front porch talking to my Mama, sick and looking pretty rough I might add, when a white pickup truck pulled in my front yard. Of course I wanted to die at that moment due to my appearance. Out of the truck came a handsome man carrying a green Gatorade."

"After our conversation that morning he asked what color of Gatorade I liked, which by the way I thought was odd and random coming from a guy I had barely spoken to but I replied “green”. When I was a no show for church that evening here he came to the rescue with some feel better medicine, a green Gatorade. We talked and laughed as we rocked in the rocking chairs on the front porch. I didn't know it then but that night was the beginning of many more front porch swings."

Over the next several months, Jason and Ashley shared long conversations, and many nights discovering all the many things they would grow to love about each other! "He would show up unexpected at our house, surprising me with small gifts such as his Moms delicious peanut butter fudge, my favorite Taco Bell drink, strawberry Frutista Freeze or my favorite candy.

For their first official date, they decided to go to a Gwinnett Braves game. They had a great time together and after their date Ashley knew she was starting to fall for Jason. After a year and a half of sating, the moment Ashley had been praying for was finally becoming a reality. "God promises to feel our life with good things and that is exactly what he did for me."

Jason loves to surprise Ashley, so when it came to their proposal it was no different. He surprised Ashley several times with concert tickets, so when he bought tickets for Thompson Square, she thought it was just another great adventure, but Jason had different plans. One of their favorite songs is "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" and when the song started playing, Jason knew that this song would mean so much more after that night.

"A very special line in the song says “sooner or later I’d have to ask for your hand so I took a chance bought a wedding band and I got down on one knee.” So Jason waited for that line in the song and with a crowd surrounding us, did exactly that. He pulled the ring out that was hidden in his boot, got down on his knee and asked me to be his wife. I was so surprised. The crowd around us caught on to his proposal and went crazy. Of course I said yes!!"

"After visiting the barn with my parents we knew the barn was our "I Do" destination. Somthing about the peacfulness of it made our hearts smile. Sherri immediatley made us feel like family as if she had known us for years. She wanted every detail to be perfect. She even helped my mom find a dress! It doesn't get better than that! Sherri and her staff spent a lot of time making sure our dream day was a success! We will always be greatful for Sherri and her very talented staff!"
