{ Lindsey & Mason Savage }

Lindsey and Mason were married on May 20th and we were lucky enough to hold their reception at the Walters Barn! We can't say enough about this couple and their beautiful wedding and reception. Thank you for entrusting us with your special day and we wish you a happily ever after!

Here is the Savage's sweet love story from their wedding page:

"Some may say it was a simple meeting accompanied with a simple story to follow, but that's just how God intended it. Mason and I met in Dahlonega, Georgia. He was a freshman and I was a sophomore at the University of North Georgia. I'm not sure if either of us would say it was love at first sight, but something on that Drill Field sparked a curiosity. A couple months of sorority/fraternity events and crossing paths had us together frequently. One night he showed up at my dorm room, I was in my finest form, not a stitch of make-up on, hair wet from a shower and in a ratty t-shirt and sweats, and he would tell you that's exactly how he would want to see me. He certainly knows how to make a girl feel pretty. Fast forward to December, after a couple months of talking and dates, and in the words of Facebook it became 'official'. Fast forward four plus years of dating, countless miles driven in between each others houses, lots of food, laughs and time spent with each others families, he asked the question that every girl dreams of hearing.

"March 5, 2016 was supposed to be a simple early spring day filled with a hike and maybe a stop at Dairy Queen on the way back into town. Mason had other plans. He told me that he wanted to go look for a saw down at Callis Mill, where his church does baptizing at the river. He said he always pictured proposing to his future wife down there, but I was clueless to that fact that that was actually going to happen. We walked around the mill looking for this elusive saw. He gave up fairly quickly, which is not in his vocabulary. He asked if I wanted to walk around and explore for a bit. We walked along the river, chit chatting back and forth. He leaned in for a hug, I felt a box in his pocket, he got down on one knee, and everything went black. I said yes somewhere in the midst of the fat crocidile tears rolling down my cheeks. We spent the afternoon calling friends and loved ones about the exciting news.

This season has been nothing short of pure joy and we can't thank our family and friends enough for their outpourings of love and support."
