{ Vendor Spotlight: Hillary Leah Photography }

We're so excited to get our favorite blog series back up, and we couldn't have chosen a better vendor to start with! Hillary and Jeremiah have shot multiple weddings at The Walters Barn and their work is some of the best! I got to speak with Hillary and learn more about their team!

Hillary + Jeremiah

Hillary grew up in Cherokee County and earned her Bachelors in English from North Georgia College and State University. When she was in college she wanted to be a journalist, and writing and taking pictures were her passion. In 2010 she was able to put her passion to use by shooting a small, intimate backyard wedding for a family friend. Her photography took off from there and she has been shooting weddings for the past 9 years!

Hillary met her husband, Jeremiah, in 2014 when she started her Masters at the University of Georgia in Professional Counseling. Hillary said Jeremiah is extremely creative and a big dreamer, and when he helped her with an elopement shoot, he quickly caught onto photography. From there, the two became engaged, got married, and are now shooting weddings together!

Jeremiah and Hillary love working together. Hillary said, "It's rewarding getting to serve others together as a husband-wife team. We gel very well together -- obviously!" Hillary also commented on how fun it is to travel while being able to stretch her creativity.

So what's the best part of the job? Celebrating. These two believe that life should be full of celebrations, and who couldn't agree with that? From marriage, engagements, graduating, or becoming parents, it brings them joy to know that they get to celebrate these milestones with their clients. Photography also allows them to capture the intimacy between relationships, and share their client's story. Hillary said, "We love photography because we get to meet incredible people and serve others during the most important parts of their lives."

For engaged couples, their hope and prayer is that they will spend more time preparing for their marriage, rather then their own wedding. When talking about engagements, Hillary said, "Engagement is such a sweet and special time to pour into one another during this season of big decisions, change, excitement and challenges."

We've had the pleasure of working with Hillary and Jeremiah on several occasions and Hillary talked about the first time she shot at The Walters Barn. "I remember meeting Sherri. She treated me with such grace and as if I was family." Hillary said. The first thing she tells brides about Soirees Southern Events is, "You will not have to lift a finger through this whole process." Hillary also commented that. "SSE is so proactive, so welcoming, and SO kind. I love working with them because of their hospitality and open arms!"

Hillary Leah Photography has been published through several different mediums. Style Me Pretty, Modern Luxury Jezebel Magazine, A Lowcountry Wedding, How He Asked, Bustld, and Borrowed and Blue, are just a few! However, to Hillary, these accolades don't matter. Hillary said, "If my clients are happy, then we are happy! My goal is to serve them and show grace."
