Brittany + Mitch were such a sweet, unique couple that we had the pleasure of working with last year! As we approach their 1-year anniversary, we reached out to Brittany to share their backstory & experience getting married at Willow Creek Farm. Continue reading to see their story along with more of these gorgeous photos!
"We met in 2013 while working at Texas Roadhouse, and 6 years later we still work together. It’s actually kind of fun working together, if you’re ever having a rough day - the other is there to lift your spirits."
- The Proposal Story -
"We actually just on a whim one day looked at engagement rings, then a few days later.. he proposed in our living room (with our two cats as witnesses of course). We announced our engagement with a photo of us in front of one of our favorite restaurants, The Vortex in Little 5 Points, which happened to be the spot of our first date!"
How was the planning process for your wedding day?
"Honestly, the wedding planning was not bad at all. It was so much fun. Everything went so smooth and it definitely helped that I already had a clear idea of what I wanted. The fact that my vision was able to come to life was amazing and everything was better than I could have ever dreamed. The team at SSE was so patient and the attention to detail exceeded my expectations. We are far from traditional so it was wonderful really being able to see our personalities come through with everything from the decor to the music."
"My wedding day was wonderful. Mother Nature did not cooperate however; but we didn’t let it ruin our day! At the last minute we ended up having to move our ceremony location, but Becca’s team did not miss a beat. They still kept true to my vision and it turned out beautifully. The coordinators throughout the day kept our timeline moving accordingly while also checking in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. The bridal cottage was comfortable and cozy. The reception was beautiful and fun. We didn’t want it to end."
"One of my favorite things about being married is that we are now our own team and everything we do we take into account each other. And, the fact that I get to call him my husband, of course. It doesn’t get old. :)"
