Paulina + Levi -- they had their wedding this past August at Little River Farms & we had the pleasure of doing the florals for their Big Day! We loved getting to work with them & we reached out to Paulina to see if she would share their story & experience with us on the blog!
When we asked Paulina how her & Levi met, she told us that they were set up by their friends -- matchmaking at its finest! Fast forward to today, they've been together for almost 3 years.
"My best friend since third grade (who was also a bridesmaid 😊) and her husband said they wanted to introduce me to one of the guys her husband trained with during the off season (baseball). The timing was never right when they first kept trying to introduce us, but a few months later we connected and I went to visit him in Birmingham. We have been together ever since ❤️"
- The Proposal Story -
"He proposed on the Fourth of July in Dahlonega, GA. He took me out to dinner and then we were on our way to watch fireworks at the North Georgia Campus. Once we got to the campus, he said he knew the best spot to watch the fireworks and took me out onto the balcony of the new convocation center. This balcony overlooked the beautiful mountains of Dahlonega and the sun was setting. Once we got out on the balcony, he had a guitar waiting up there and picked it up and started playing the song we always said would be our first dance song (How Would You Feel? By Ed Sheeran). After he got done singing/playing the song, he stood up and took my hand and then got down on one knee to propose. ❤️❤️ After, both of our families were there and we celebrated and watched the fireworks."
"I had SO MUCH FUN planning the wedding. When planning the wedding, Levi and I were solely focused on planning a day that would be perfect in our eyes, and we did not want to base our decisions on what others may potentially think about it/say about it. With that attitude and mentality, it made the process full of excitement and love for the both of us, because all we really cared about at the end of the day was that we were getting married."
When we asked Paulina what her thoughts were for their Big Day, she responded, "BEST. DAY. EVER. Our wedding day was absolutely an amazing day! From getting ready, to marrying my best friend, to dancing all night, and to kissing under a tunnel of sparkles for send off. My absolute favorite part of our wedding day, though, was definitely the ceremony and seeing Levi for the first time as I walked down the aisle. I remember after we said our vows and walked back down the aisle, we were in a small area with all of our bridesmaids and groomsmen and I just remember being on cloud nine celebrating the first few minutes of marriage with our closest friends and family (siblings in the bridal party). Definitely a feeling and moment that I never want to forget."
What is your favorite thing about being married?
"Marriage is SO FUN!!! My favorite part of marriage is having my best friend to take on this crazy journey of life with. We love dream building about our future, we love to laugh A LOT, and we love getting to start and end each day with each other."
